About

I'm Jess Hana, it's really nice to meet you!

Jess The Maker trackstanding

It was not love at first ride.

In 2012 I found myself on my first mountain bike. It was a borrowed hardtail two sizes too large. In the first 10 minutes, I flew over the bars on an ATV path.

Something about mountain biking kept drawing me in. It gives me the chance to play and be expressive. It connects me to new people and places. It gives me a way to challenge myself and help others challenge themselves too. Most importantly, it’s FUN.

FAQs

Your questions answered!

Are you a PRO Mountain Biker?

I like to say I'm a Mountain Bike Professional. While I do not race professionally, I have coached for many years and have a Level 2 Air Certification through PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association).

If I had to say what level I ride at... I'd say most days I'm level FUN with a dash of SPICE.

How did you get into content creation?

For many years I was in the creative/web design realm working for tech companies big and small. In 2022, I wanted to do something new that combined my creativity, humor, and passion for biking. So, I created a few silly videos and posted them to Instagram — the rest is history.

I realized I had quite the knack for making content that resonates with all sorts of people. From beginners to pros, even folks who don't mountain bike yet.

Can I hire you?

The way I work with businesses/brands is ever-evolving. While I'd love to work with as many great brands as possible, I also love keeping my feed as authentic as possible and not a highway of ads.

In 2025, I'll only be taking one paid partnership project per month. If you're interested in paid partnerships or a longer-term sponsorship please fill out the contact form and we'll get the conversation started!

Can I send you a product with no strings attached?

This depends. I've found that there's really no such thing as no strings attached (for me). When someone takes the time to send me something, I feel a sense of obligation. If you're simply looking for a shoutout. I will be rolling out "cameos" in my shop soon. More to come!
